Our name, HL2R, references the last names of our four founding members: Michael Hoover, Ben Lissner, Dina Lissner, & Tim Ratty (the 2 is for the two Lissners). The name HL2R reminded us of a chemical equation, so our logo is designed to mimic an element from the periodic table. This inspired our tagline, "Real Estate is our Element".
Benjamin Lissner is a founding member and Team Lead of HL2R Group.
Born and raised in Chicago’s Northshore, Ben has always loved and appreciated everything that the Chicagoland area has to offer. He has a strong passion for the real estate industry and carries over a decade of residential and commercial experience. Since founding HL2R Group with his husband Michael Hoover in 2018 they have grown their business to a team of 5 elite agents that service the Chicago downtown markets as well as the surrounding suburbs, with hundreds of happy clients totaling nearly $200 million in successfully closed sales.
Nathalie was born in Switzerland, grew up in Spain and lived for over 10 years in Switzerland before relocating to Highland Park IL.
After graduating school and university in Madrid (Spain), she worked for years in the media industry as part of the direction and production teams, as well as location manager for movies, shows and commercials. It was this work, scouting locations, that initially sparked her interest in real estate and the real estate industry.
In 2012, Nathalie moved to Switzerland and built up a photography studio (specializing in family and newborn photography) and catering/event organization business.
Jay was born and raised in his hometown of Quincy, IL. After his time in the military he moved to Iowa City, where he found his knack for relationship building and set the groundwork for his success. His passion for real estate brought him to the architectural treasure chest of Chicago. While Jay enjoys showing Chicago's amazing real estate offerings, his true ambition lies in fostering a trusting and productive experience for his clients.
