UNIVERSITY VILLAGE

 

 

University Village is a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood on Chicago’s Near West Side. University Village is named for its proximity to the University of Illinois at Chicago, and many residents are students or faculty members. The neighborhood also contains the Little Italy district, which has a rich heritage of Italian-American culture, churches, and cuisine. The UIC Pavilion is a multi-purpose arena that hosts a wide range of concerts and sports. Located at the University of Chicago at Illinois Campus, the Pavilion is the home arena of the Chicago Flames UIC and Chicago Sky WNBA basketball teams.
